Adams & Martin Group is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with five or more years of experience to join our client's dynamic legal team. Candidates must be reliable, organized, and have excellent communication skills. The firm is located in Clayton, Missouri.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Case Management: Assist attorneys in all stages of civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
  2. Document Management: Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
  3. Trial Preparation: Assist in trial preparation by compiling exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating with court personnel.
  4. Client Communication: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials professionally and efficiently.
  5. Deadline Management: Manage deadlines for filings, responses, and court appearances, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
  6. Billing and Timekeeping: Record billable hours accurately and assist with preparing invoices for clients.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Five or more years of experience as a paralegal in litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
  • Experience with eDiscovery software such as Nextpoint and Relativity.
  • Experience with trial presentation software such as OnCue.
  • Prior in-courtroom trial experience.
  • Adaptability and willingness to take on new tasks as they arise.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to structure complex projects efficiently and set/adjust priorities effectively; superior attention to detail; excellent judgement and use of discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ability to work individually on a project and on multiple projects concurrently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
